Breaking changes: our new Navigation solution partner is Sygic

From TomTom to Sygic:
Over the years our former navigation provider reduced his SDK more and more to drive his own business solutions.
Finally a SDK is no longer available!
Looking for an alternative solution we found www.sygic.com/tomtom-sdk.
Why we recommend Sygic:
  • Good support at first hand
  • A modern Navigation Solution (with actual maps)
  • Native .NET support in the SDK (no need for third party solutions)
  • Many operating systems support including Linux and Android
  • A partner which is even able to adapt the Navigation solution to your needs.

    GFEdit TomTom ONE and polygons..

    Hi folks

I would like to display polygons on the TomTom ONE.

I can see from the screenshots that you can type in start and end points and then close the polygon feature.  But can i get that line/polygon data in automatically? Is there an import format? e.g. ASCII like for POI->OV2 conversion....shapefile would be perfect...  Would save me a lot of typing! Smile [:)]

    Many thanks

    Doug

    Sorry,

we don't have such a thing at the moment.
We only offer the definiton of points - lines in GFEdit.

    Regards

    Manfred

    Hi Manfred
    Thanks for the response.
If polygons arent supported, can i automatically load lines as a batch process? Or do i have to define them on a start_point by end_point basis - each one manually?
    Thanks
    Doug

Re: GFEdit TomTom ONE and polygons..

Of course polys are suported - but not "import or such a thing".

Take a look at the screenshot http://ttncf.pp-p.com/lngstd/GFESampleShots.htm

There you will see all edit modes - also the poly mode.

With the program you can open a GF File and transfer the items to another file - so you can build some kind of "library".

    Thanks Manfred.
Are GF files supported by TomTom ONE? Or is your GF Editor solely for use by the Navigator product range?
    Thanks
    Doug

I don't know if you can use GF Files in ONE - we only deal with Windows related systems.

But AFAIK GF works for GO.
